Stress, like other things in our lives, has a dual effect on our health. It has positive and negative effects on our physical health. On the positive side, stress can keep us physically active and physically healthy. It can also have the opposite effect, it can cause us to become overly anxious and to be overly sensitive to minor changes in our environment.
One of the most common ways to “stress” our bodies is to eat a lot of fat, eat too much sugar, or eat too many fried foods. These are all things that have been shown to have a negative effect on our health, but it’s not exactly clear where that effects falls.
The general conclusion I’ve developed from the research that is most relevant to this article is that it goes in the direction of stress being our body’s way of trying to tell us something. When we are stressed out, our bodies react by changing their hormone levels in order to try and make us feel better. When our bodies are stressed out, they need to tell us something, and our bodies will tell us how to react to it.
Our bodies have a way of telling us something. Our bodies need to tell us it’s time to get off the couch. It’s the hormones that cause the stress response to go off on us in our bodies.
