I’ve always been one of those squirrel people. I like my ducks to look cute and act sweet and fluffy. I’ve even bought a bunch of ducks for my cat, and she still enjoys them so much more than my dog.
That’s why we love ducks in the first place. The fact is, ducks are great pets. They keep a home, they don’t cause any crazy trouble, and they are easy to care for. The only downside is the fact that ducks are nocturnal, so you have to put them out at night to keep them safe.
Yes, you probably need to put ducklings out at night to keep them safe. But that’s not the real reason you should get a duck. If you want your ducks to live long and healthy lives, the real reason they should be pets is because they are great pets. If you want to get more out of your duck, you have to keep it under control. That means a lot of time, attention, and care.
So why do I get ducks? I get ducks because I like ducks. They’re friendly, they like to sit by me, and I have the time and attention to make sure that they get the best care possible. Of course, that’s a lot harder than it sounds.
While ducks are great pets, there’s a lot more to getting a duck than just that.
