cultural competence is one of the most important things that we can bring to the table in our research. In other words, being an effective researcher is not just about being able to do research; but rather, we have to be able to research in a diverse and culturally competent way. We must bring to the table all of the different ways in which being a researcher is different for us.
This is a big thing for us because we all have a long way to go with it. We all have different ways of doing research, and cultural competence is one of the biggest forces that we need to be able to bring to the table. We’ll get to that in a minute.
You can’t avoid cultural competency completely. You can, however, train yourself to be able to be both culturally competent and culturally diverse. One way to do this is to learn some of the skills that I’ll be covering in this chapter. When you are trying to do research, for example, it’s easy to get the idea that only certain kinds of people can do certain kinds of research.
What this is really saying is that some people can do research with a certain level of cultural competence, but you don’t need to be culturally competent to do research. You can do research with a cultural competence of 4, but if you have a cultural competence of 5 you won’t be able to do any of the research, even if you’re culturally competent.
In the end, it just means that you should be careful with whom you speak to in research. You dont want to do research with someone who doesnt agree with your findings. And you dont want to say what you think you think without thinking it through first. Or you can just say that you are going to make a joke and then tell the researcher how they are wrong.
We all know that people who are culturally competent can do something like research on a topic of interest without having to speak to an expert. That said, it is also a bit of a waste to speak to someone who just makes up a bunch of research and then just says it is okay to just go ahead and do something else with the information. The more you can avoid that the more likely you will be to get a good result.
One of the biggest factors that prevents cultural competence is a lack of confidence. We often fail to take the time to speak with someone who can speak to us or to consider what they are saying. We are just so much more comfortable speaking to ourselves or to someone who can tell us what we really should do.
This is a big problem. One of the biggest challenges you face is to overcome your cultural competence to actually do something. For example, it is often very difficult to get your research published or to get a job funded. It’s not just that you don’t have the knowledge and experience you need to do anything, because you just don’t know it. The problem is that you just aren’t sure what to do next.
Yes. And that is the biggest challenge. For example, in the case of cultural competence, there is no “next” to what you should be doing. You can’t just go back and read an article and determine what to do next. You just dont know. There is no next. You need to have a self-confidence that is built on confidence in yourself. That is the key to achieving a great cultural competence.
People who have made a lot of progress in the past few years have used cultural competence to create a better world. For example, the first person to get a job in a major building company was in the early 1950s, who had to build the tallest building in the world. That was the first time that any building company could build a skyscraper and have it finish in that style. It took many years and hundreds of dollars to build the tallest building in the world.
