This is the first cat that has been spotted at Petsmart in Washington. As we learned this morning, Petsmart opened a store in Colorado and another in Ohio. The former pet carrier retailer in Washington is the first to have a cat.
It’s a bit hard to fathom that cats could make such a splash in the nation’s largest pet store, but I can see the appeal. Petsmart is all about convenience, and we’re glad to see that it’s continuing to support the pets it already carries. We’re also glad that it’s not just a pet store, but that its customers are a bit more aware of the cats that are roaming about with them.
My wife and I love cats. But we could not have said that about our dog, who lives in our house with us. I don’t think he would be able to say that about me, but he is certainly a cat person.

Its stock is up 25% year over year, its employees are more than happy to talk to potential customers, and its prices are very reasonable.
