You can take this one step further and say that it is a skyscraper that has windows and is not a skyscraper. This skyscraper is not a skyscraper, it is a single point of view of a skyscraper. This skyscraper is not a skyscraper, but it happens to be a skyscraper.
The point of this image is that it’s possible to have a skyscraper that is not a skyscraper.
The purpose of this image was to show that the tower is not a skyscraper. The point of it was merely to show that you can have a building that is not a building.
Zoomed skyscrapers, or towers as they are commonly called these days, are a popular sight, but they’re really more of a special case of the zoomed cube, a three-dimensional model that is very close to a two-dimensional cube but that has a three-dimensional perspective. In this case the zoomed skyscrapers are a three-dimensional perspective of a single point.
The zoomed skyscraper is often used to add scale to a structure that isn’t already big enough to accommodate a two-dimensional perspective. This is particularly useful for buildings like hospitals, which are often very tall and narrow and not conducive to a two-dimensional perspective. For this particular building however, it allows us to see how it would look if it was twice as tall. We can see how the roof would look, and we can see the windows and the interior.
There is a point where a structure becomes so big that it’s impractical to use two dimensions to see it, and a zoomed-in view allows us to see the building as it actually is.

This is where the skyscraper analogy breaks down for a lot of people. I know I don’t like the skyscraper analogy because it has a certain feel to it. Also, there’s something to be said for a building that you can see from all directions. If you’re trying to see the building from all possible directions, it becomes hard to see it’s true purpose. Zoomed in, a skyscraper is actually somewhat of a conundrum.
